BEAR CREEK STABLES DAY CAMP
June 20- 24, 2011
July 11- 15, 2011 August 1- 5, 2011
This is a beginner - intermediate based camp for anyone 8 yrs old and older that wants to know what its like to have a
horse of their own for a week!
Camp hours are 8am - 2pm, Monday thru Friday. Throughout the week, the children will learn basic handling and care of
horses, as well as ride 1-3 hours a day.
The children will be assigned a horse for the week. They're responsible for feeding that horse, cleaning its stall, grooming,
tacking, and riding just like it was theirs! The children will also learn why its important to do things the way
we do them. We'll talk about horse breeds and colors, basic body parts, safety when handling and leading their horse,
the proper way to mount/dismount, and ride at a walk and trot.
Children must wear long pants and hard- soled shoes or boots. They must also bring a sack lunch and a water bottle. Helmets
are required and will be provided at no extra charge if the child does not have one.
Cost: $250.00/ week ($100.00 deposit required)
